Processing Files Synchronizing Crushes Build
Hello
We have ReSharper 6.0.2202.688 running with Visual Studio 10.0.40219.1 SP1 Rel
When we build a Web App, the build slows with ReSharper installed showing "Processing Files" in the lower right corner of the status bar.
This happens regardless of changes to the ReSharper settings for Code Inspection (can be enabled or disabled) or if we are using VS IntelliSense or R#
We have the Analyze errors in whole solution off
Is there a directory/file/etc that we need to exclude or setting we need to change? I ask this as it only happens when a build is triggered
I have just recommended and rolled out R# to the entire development team and am now running into this hurdle
Thanks for any help

Hello John,
Could you please clarify what the problem is: the build slows when this message
appears or the build crashes? Thank you!

Thanks for replying
When we do a build of our web app and resharper is installed, the build goes so slow as to be unusable. We have tried to change the Resharper settings so that it is not analyzing the entire solution. But when the build fires, we see the indication in the status bar that Resharper is "Processing source files"
Our project is not that large with only 4 projects. The main application is a web app including web pages, css files, JavaScript, and user controls. The other projects are supporting libraries.
What files are being processed when a build fires and how do we stop Resharper from doing this?
Thanks again for helping us to ID the issue
We love the product, just need to get the performance figured out

Hello John,
Could you please capture a performance snapshot of Visual Studio process
while it's building your solution (by following the instructions at http://tinyurl.com/6xgxpw5)
and upload it to ftp://ftp.intellij.net/.uploads/? This would help us to
find out what's going on. Thank you!

We have captured the logs and uploaded to the ftp server.
Please let me know if you need any additional information

Hello John,
Thank you! We've recently fixed a similar problem and the fix will be available
in the next ReSharper version.

Thanks for reviewing this issue
Given the impact on the product (making it unusable in this solution), is there a hot fix available? If not, is there an anticipated release date for such a fix?
I appreciate the level of effort to release a hot fix, however, we are struggling to continue to use the product given the extent of the performance hit
Thanks again for taking the time to research and follow up on the issue

Hello John,
A hot fix is not available at the moment. I'll write back as soon as we start
the Early Access Program for the next version of ReSharper that should fix
this problem. However, I can't tell you exactly when this will happen. Thank
you!

Just wanted to check and see if any progress has been made on this issue.
Is there any update on a date for a possible fix? As I mentioned earlier, this is making the product unusable and now we are eating into our license time
Any update would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
John

That is great news.
How do we gain access to the EAP?
Thanks again
John
The EAP build is usually available from:

Andrey
Hate to keep asking, but any update on the 6.1 EAP?
Thanks
John

We have been running the new version for a couple of days. Bug is now gone!
It is working well even with the Analyze Entire Solution checked on. We were not able to even attempt before
I have hit 3 exceptions and will be submitting
Thanks again for getting this out to us
