Bookmarks in 6.1

I'm so glad 6.1 is out - the performance problems I was having with 6.0 vanished and I'm loving the new features.

However, I'm sad that bookmarks have been rendered nearly useless.  Since they vanish everytime I close visual studio, it defeats the purpose (coming back to a point later).  I have been a bookmark "power user" since v5 when I discovered how great they were - Is there any chance this will be fixed in a timeframe other than "next release'?  I'd hate to have to wait half a year to use one of the (previously) outstanding features of your great product.

Thanks!

Hi Philip,

Indeed, this is an unfortunate bug (which I have just reported). We're hoping to provide a fix in a bug fix update to 6.1 that's going to follow up in substantially less than half a year.

For your reference, I also reported this fairly early on in the EAP here.

Thanks Philip,

I will merge the two bug reports.
Totally our fault for overlooking your original report before RTM.

It happens - I love R#6.1, this won't make me stop using it by a long shot, and I'll certainly keep recommending it.

My only concern is the waiting - It gets frustrating when you fix the bugs but we have to wait a long time for the fixes to get in our hands.  My one wish for improving R# would be more frequent minor updates.

I agree with you on the scheduling issue that was evident with 6.1. However, architecture-wise, we didn't have much choice.
The next minor update will be based on the stable 6.1 branch and will be bug/performance fix-only, which improves our chances for a quick release.
The current plan is to make the next minor update available in January.

I can confirm this issue is fixed in 6.1.38 - and more importantly, it's in my hands.

Thank you so much!
