Exclude folders from search

Hi,

I'm looking for an option to exclude a folder from search. For example I'm developing a Node.js project in VS and want to exclude the node_modules folder when using the Go to File hot keys.
It would be great to have this as a global option to specify multiple folders to exclude. Is the Code Inspection options to exclude folders suppose to support this for search?

  There is no way to exclude anything from search and navigation.
