Lots of problems with 77

Hi there,

We're having some very strange things happen with 77 (we've been
basically fine with other builds). They all seem to be related to
Solution meta data:
1 - At least 2 of us are now unable to use 'add class'. When we enter
the name of the class in the dialog box that pops up and hit OK, VS
fails with an error message along the lines of not being able to find
the appropriate window
2 - 1 user is unable to add a new project along the same lines
3 - One of our solutions has about 17 projects, all but one being dlls.
Some of these appear to have been turned into exes in the project
properties.
4 - One person's VS has been completely trashed in terms of it is unable
to find csc, etc. Also, all project properties appear to have been wiped.

I don't want this to sound like complaining since we are well aware this
is a testing situation, but I just wanted to give feedback. :)

Cheers,

Mike

Mike,

there is a problem with installer that causes some VS dlls to get
unregistered after uninstall.
In order to fix it please register csproj.dll ("C:\Microsoft Visual Studio
.NET 2003\Vc7\vcpackages\csproj.dll")

regsvr32.exe csproj.dll.

This should fix problems with adding new classes / projects.

Please let us know if this works for you.

Yes, re-registering this dll fixed the "unable to find class wizard" error
for me. Thanks...

FYI, FWIW: Had the same exact problem - and the re-registering fixed it. The fix will make it into Build 78, I hope?
