Make RS work with Visual Assist X

Hi,

Resharper and Visual Assist X do not seem to work well together. I prefer
VA's Intellassist implementation better, but I like all the other features
of RS.

Are there plans to make these work together?

Is there a way to get the auto complete to popup automatically as you're
typing, similar to VA?

Thanks,
John

Hello John,

In fact it seems to be a Visual Assist problem. We contacted its vendors,
WholeTomato,
and after some discussion they informed us that they're going to correct
this problem in the
next version of VA. In our turn, we're ready to make necessary fixes, but
for now we simply don't
know the origins of the problem and what we can do in order to make ReSharper
and VA work smoothly
side-by-side. May be WholeTomato have some updated information on the status
of this issue.

As for your second question, you can make ReSharper completion popup automatically
after typing dot
and the 'new' statement. This is controlled by options in the group 'Auto-popup'
(ReSharper->Options->Code Completion).
Not sure this is quite similar to VA IntelliSense though.

Dmitry,

I know the options for after dot and new, but I want the Auto popup anytime
I type.

For example, in VA, I type "th", and I get a popup offering this and
anything else starting with th. Basically the same popup as you get when
hitting CtrlSpace, but without hitting CtrlSpace.

Thanks for the info about VA, I'll pass it along in hopes of getting the
problem resolved.

Hello John,

I think we could have such an option. Could you please submit a request for
it to
our tracker?

Thanks in advance.
