With the Team Suite running $10.939 per year, I'll skip it. This
means I won't be able to (or need to) take advantage of ReSharper 2.0
for VS2005.

If you continue to use VS2003 you'll be able to take use ReSharper 2.0 and
get many of new features of VS2005 in VS2003 and much much more!

Is anyone else shocked by the estimated prices of VS.NET 2005?

Including all the ASP.NET 2.0 and C# 2.0 features? I'll trade in my
ReSharper for the full IDE once it comes out, of course.

Hello Kevin,

With VS2003 plus ReSharper you'll not be able to use C# 2.0 features. That's
because
VS2003 is tightly bound to the .NET 1.1 (e.g. it cannot compile code using
.NET 2.0
compilers), and there is no way for us to circumvent this.

Yes, the IDE will have EVERYTHING ReSharper 2.0 will have, plus naturally,
more. ;) Of course, unless there is a curve ball in there somewhere which
will limit some feature set in our own IDE -- but I don't think that's going
to be the case ... And yes, we plan to give some kinda incentive to current
customers to jump to the IDE, so you can buy the plugin now, and still make
out like a spoiled brat in a year's time (or less) when the IDE hits the
shelf. I'm just not sure what everybody is waiting for ... :)
