[241] Cannot resolve symbol

1. Create a new windows application
2. Add a button (button1)
3. Double-click the button
4. Type: button1.Text = "Test";

On my computer, R# makes pbTest red and complains it cannot resolve the
symbol 'button1'. I can compile without any errors, but have to reload the
project for R# to recognize the button.

I'm not sure if this is a know problem in 241, let me know if I should post
it to the tracker.

Hello Dag,

am I right that the problem goes away if you open directly the *.Designer.cs
file in the editor? Thanks.

No, opening the .designer.cs file didn't help. I also tried to open the
.designer.cs file before modifying the form (adding the button) but it
didn't make any difference.

"Find usages" on the declaration of button1 in the .designer.cs file did not
return any reference to the codeline I entered, only the form setup code in
the .designer.cs file.

I forgot to mention that the event handler, button1_Click, is grayed out /
marked as unused as well.

Dag

Problem gone in build 242. Not sure if you fixed anything or perhaps the
fresh install did the trick.

Dag
