Wiebe,

1) is it reporducible on small solution? If it is not, couild you provide
some details on your solution: what kind of projects, how do they reference
each other etc.?
2) does the problem go away after restarting VS?

Friendly,
Dmitry

Hi,

I got the exception on opening my solution project types:
- 1 Web Application Project
- 9 DLL projects

I unloaded and reloaded R#, and now it seems to work ok.

I'll see if it goes wrong when restarting again.

By the way, when I unload resharper from the Add-In menu, and I use a R#
shortcut (ctrl+space), it starts loading completely again, is this
default VS2005 behaviour?...

Hello Wiebe,

yes, VS loads the add-in bound to a certain shortcut when the user presses
this shortcut.

Yes, the shortcut re-enabling Resharper is a real nuisance as I sap
between Resharper and CodeRush/Refactor (as they still do not co-exists)

Ah so maybe a feature could be to revert to the default VS2005 keyboard
layout when unloading R#?

Hello Wiebe,

I'm not sure if this is possible to do programmatically (especially in VS
2003), and also this doesn't
solve the problem with uninstalling ReSharper - the user may uninstall ReSharper
without ever unloading it,
and as a result she will get a non-working keyboard scheme (this is actually
the state of art).

Hi Dmitry,

Specifically, I still have to disable R# sometimes because the aspx and
error highlighting SSIS is not OK in our project (I still have to find
the time to post an example solution).

It might be related to the combination of product versions I have
installed and uninstalled (I had most VS2005 beta/CTP/rc/trial versions,
TeamSystem versions, Web Application Project versions etc. all installed
and uninstalled, so i'll have to try on a clean system once.

By the way, is the R# license key for 2.0 the same as the 1.5 version?

In that case I have to dig it up somewhere :p

Thx!
