[3xx] EAP builds affects configuration of R# 2.0 for Visual Studio 2003

Hello,

you've noted in the known issues that some configuration settings will be reset by the installation of R# 2.5 EAP builds. After
installing build and the advanced syntax highlighting and highlighting of the current row was disabled and the Visual
Studio intellisense was enabled. So far so good. But after starting Visual Studio 2003 with R# 2.0.2 i found the same configuration
settings as in R# 2.5. This is a thing i didn't expect. I remember the early EAP builds of R# 2.0 where the configuration for Visual
Studio 2003 and 2005 was separated.

Klaus

Hello Luedi,

for now, all ReSharper versions 2.x (including 2.0 for 2003 and 2005 and
2.5 EAP) are using
the same UserSettings.xml file stored in your Application Data directory.
The question if it is the correct behavior is a difficult one. Definitely
some settings should be shared among all versions, while there are few settings
which should be stored separately for each version. Unfortunately our setting
storage system is not that advanced to allow such separation.
