Build 818 Virtually unusable

I'm getting some very odd "problems" with the latest RC:

/// /// Required designer variable. /// ]]>
private System.ComponentModel.IContainer components = null;

The prompt is to replace components with a constant.

Many, many, many objects are being reported as "unresolvable symbols"
including Windows forms components dropped onto the form from the
toolbox. The code compiles and runs without problems.
