[1169] Not helping to reference assemblies

In a project, I declared a variable of a type that is declared in another project and I got the context action to help me add the reference to the project declaring the type.  When I built the project I have warnings about not referencing projects on which the type is dependent.  As far as I remember, R# used to also give me warnings about this and help to add the required references.  Am I right and is anyone else seeing this?
