Stable???!!!

How is it that your builds are gettings ratings like "Works" or "Stable"? In my experience, the quality of your EAP builds are going DOWN. I consistently get 300-500 errors using you product with Visual Studio 2010 in about 5 minutes of usage with VB .NET. C# is better, but also reports 30-50 errors every 30 minutes or so. Both languages also show hundreds of false compilation errors. I've cleaned my Resharper cache every time I install a new version.

i agree with you. I can't imagine why someone can rate the EAP builds as stable. In my environment (i'm using both Visual Studio 2008 and 2010, C# and VB) i get not so much errors like you, but some functionality which is crucial for me is not working correct or broken. So the maximum rating i can give is three stars for "Working". I also agree with you that the overall quality of the EAP builds is going down the last two or three builds, but that's EAP ;).

Hello Jeff,

What kind of errors do you get? Have you submitted them? Also, could you
please elaborate more on the false compilation errors that you're observing?
Thank you!

I also always report the ReSharper exceptions that occur (all the hundreds of them).

As for the false compilation errors, here are a few:

"Cannot resolve symbol"

"No accessible "Where" can be called without a narrowing conversion. Candidates are..."

"No accessible "First" can be called without a narrowing conversion. Candidates are..."

"Cannot cast expression of type "Names" to type Integer" (it's an int enum)

These are just to name a few...

Hello Jeff,

I was unable to locate your account in our bug tracker. Which account did
you use to submit those exceptions? If you've submitted them anonymously,
could you please tell me the issue numbers, so that I could locate them?
As to compilation errors, could you please provide some complete code examples
that are causing those errors, so that we could reproduce and fix them on
our side?
