New Resharper 7 Test runner

I have been using the new resharper 7 for a while now (7.1 epa actually) and I really don't like the new test runner.

My main complaint is that the parent icon for a group of test doesn't update until after 'ALL' tests in the run have complete.  Even if the tests in its current branch of the tree are all finished.

This makes it imposible to find a broken test until all your tests have completed.  Which sucks if you have a lot of tests.

Does this bother anyone else?  Because it is driving me nuts.

Also has anyone reports that the time in the test runner is broken in the 7.1 epa?  It always says a test takes [0:00.000].  Also there is no longer a time reported for individual tests.

Thanks,
Robson

Hello Robson,

Could you please try the latest EAP build available here: http://confluence.jetbrains.net/display/ReSharper/ReSharper+7.1+Nightly+Builds.
We've included some fixes for Unit Test runner in it - please let me know if it works fine for you or not.

Thanks in advance!

I installed the most recent EPA build

JetBrains ReSharper 7.1 EAP Full Edition

Build 7.1.20.60 on 2012-11-03T07:11:42

Free evaluation 28 days left

Plugins: none

Visual Studio 11.0.50727.1.

I should also note that I am using MSTest.

The problems I reported are still happening.  Icon doesn't update until the end.  Time for test run always says 0.

Hello,

Thanks for trying out ReSharper 7.1 EAP.

We've checked this issue with a corresponding developer, and, unfortunately, this behavior cannot be changed in ReSharper 7.1 because of some MSTest/Visual Studio limitations. We will try our best to fix this bug for the future ReSharper versions.

We apologize for the inconvenience for now.
Thank you once again.

You might also be interested in http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/RSRP-288128 "Show only failed tests" in a unit test session also displays pending tests." (Don't know if this has actually been fixed in 7, the "new" behavior is very user unfriendly IMHO).
