We have procurred 40 license of Resharper full edition. Until now we have not set up the license server. First question, does floating license only works when License server is set-up. Without license server can I still install Resharper on additional machines?
Second question when License server is set up, as soon as Visual Studio IDE is launched ticket is reserved for the user even though they may not need to fix ReSharper violation. As most of our development team members will be working in IDE and hence license will be blocked. This means floating license is not really helping us here.
I wanted a way that even though Visual Studio IDE is open even then ReSharper license is not consumed and only when for e.g. user compiles the code it is automatically turned ON and after sometime license is revoked.
