Converting interface to abstract class

I attempted to use the convert interface to abstract class. Once I did that
my environment went bonkers. cpu usage was at 100%. I had only 4 different
classes/files that had any usage or implementation of the interface. Before
the IDE hanged, the interface file that I was converting, updated and showed
the new abstract class, after that the IDE become unresponsive.

Has anyone else had this problem?
