Resharper 2.0 for VS.NET 2005 unusably slow
Seriously, it's so slow I can't even type anymore. It can't keep up with me, it stays about 3 seconds behind. This is on a solution with 4 projects and not a lot of code. Is there anything I can try changing in the options to make it faster?

Hmm, all the snapshots, that had been emailed to us were thoroughly
investigated and led to some critical fixes, that solved the problem for
substantial part of our customers. I don't think, your problem is in dual
monitor setup, for this issue was definitely fixed a number of builds ago,
and I tell you more - most of our developers use dual-monitor system without
any problem. If you send us your snapshots we'll do our best to fix the
problem, but unless we have them we cannot address YOUR problem.
PS You may send the snapshots directly to me
qx at jetbrains dot com.
BTW what build do you use?

Mike,
I tried your suggestions, with pretty good effect. The item that gave me the best results was turning off the tracked changes. Really, it's quite amazing how much better things are without it. And how much was I really using that feature anyway?
Sergey,
Thank you letting me know that there were improvements associated with snapshots you received from posters.
I have sent the snapshots, as requested. Note, these snapshots are just of the launch of VS.NET and a short edit of a code file once a rather large solution has been loaded.
In fairness to JetBrains, after further analysis, it appears that the they are sharing the burden of CPU usage with DevExpress.
The memory usage is where JetBrains seems to glut WRT DevExpress: of 100% memory used by VS.NET, JetBrains uses ~24%, and DevExpress uses ~13%.
I will happily generate more snapshots if it will help me be more productive.

p.s. You gotta love a company that creates a for-sale product (dotTrace) which other offerings can use to help themselves improve. Nothing short of brilliant product planning.

Thanks, Mike.
I have a powerful machine (dual Xeon, 2GB ram, 10,000 RPM SCSI drive, dual monitor), and I was experiencing slow performance. I usually have 3 med sized solutions open (one web service focused, one winforms focused, one a collection of libraries).
Those suggestions seemed to have sped up my experience quite a bit. Thanks!
