2.5: Unit Test Runner does not work

From one moment to the other I can not use the Unit Test Runner anymore.
The Unit Test window is all grayed out and all unit tests have disappeared.
Menu item 'Run All Tests From Solutions' does nothing either.
Restarting VS has no effect nor has rebuilding the solution.
