Hi there,
After installing this beta I got half of the REsharper's menu greyed out and disabled.
There are also no context menus, suggestion or rightclick->Refactor menus available (last one actually is there, but all the items inside are also disabled)
Could you suggest any resolutions for this issue?
Thanks!
i installed 3.0 Beta over an EAP version and now i have two sets of resharper menus in VS 2005. i only have one resharper entry in add/remove programs and when i removed it, i still got resharper menus in vs2005. how can i reset visual studio menus to remove that extra resharper menus?
1. I also have the problem reported above. Yesterday I uninstalled EAP 423 and installed the beta of ReSharper. After that I had two ReSharper menus in Visual Studio with small differences (by the way, both of them worked properly as far as I saw). I didn't notice any function hindrance because of the two menus, but I think they are annoying. I also had them when I uninstalled ReSharper from "Add/Remove Programs", though most items in both were disabled. Then I tried reinstallation with not only uninstalling R# but also deleting all Jet Brains keys from the Windows registry. It worked neither with the full nor with the C# only version - the two menus were always there.
2. By default, the R# Intellisense is almost off (the "Auto popup after dot", "Auto popup after new" and "Auto popup after a character is typed" options are disabled and must be enabled through the "Options" form - quite inconvenient, by the way). But in "Options" there is no slider on the right side and the "Auto popup after a character is typed" option is not visible, even when the window is maximized. I use 1024x768 resolution. I succeeded in enabling the option by manually stretching the height of the "Options" window, or I could have siwtched to a bigger resolution for a while, but I found this disturbing anyway. And also, the Visual Studio Intellisense is still disabled when switched to from "Options" - this has been around for quite some time (I don't see any reason to use Visual Studio Intellisense when you have that of ReSharper, but I think it's a bug after all).
jetbrains has just updated the download page with installation instructions (reset vs settings does the work). i think next time it's better to always include installation instructions. lesson learned, i wouldn't install resharper updates again without reading the installation instructions
