Memory usage in status

Hi,
I think this issue has been kicking around for a while, but I was wondering why it is that when you have memory usage displayed in the status bar you can sit there and watch the memory usage tick up by .1 every 5 seconds or so. It doesn't make much sense to me why resharper would keep using more and more memory when I'm not even doing anything.
I am using 2.5.3 and this still has the issue. Eventually I have to restart Visual studio. Is this fixed in 3.x? I am loath to purchase 3.x if this issue is still around.

Regards
Ian

Hello Ian,

this is really very strange and shouldn't happen. Does it occur only when
a specific project / solution is opened? How
fast is the memory usage increase?

Thanks.

Actually, I take that back...it seems I hadn't upgraded to the 2.5.3 correctly. I reinstalled and it behaves better. What I observe now is that the memory does tick upwards by .1 Mb every 4-5 seconds but it does then drop back down after 1 a minute or 2.
For instance the solution I have open has a memory usage of 116.6Mb which slowly rises to 118 Mb (whilst I am not doing anything) and then drops back down.

Anyway, it doesn't seem to be increasing unboundedly as I thought
