Does Resharper causes anybody else's VS to freeze up every few minutes?

This has also been happening to me a lot lately. I'm using RS 4.0 with Win2003
and VS2005.

Resharper causes my IDE to inexplicably lock up for a few seconds
every few minutes (sometimes more quickly than that). I'm just typing
away and it is like R# wants to think about something... It is
incredibly annoying.

We have this. See my post above/below about memory footprint - our theory is that it is a large GC cycle that ends up freezing the application.

It could well be something else too .. the big memory footprint is just a theory.
