I'm having a problem with a vb live template.

I have the following template:

When I use the template the variables do not behave correctly. The first variable is highlighted as if I had done so with the mouse but is not outlined. If I start typing it replaces the highlighted text but does not do the same for the other variables.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?
