Can you tell resharper to include extra files?

In my project, we are generating several files with CodeSmith.  These files are regenerated on every build and not added into the Visual Studio project because we didn't want to check them into source control.

This is fine in Visual Studio, because other projects in the solution do their autocomplete & error checking based on the dll.  ReSharper, on the other hand, looks at the source files included in the project.  As a result, ReSharper is not usable, because there are so many errors all over the place.  This can be fixed if you include the generated files into the project, but then we have to exclude them before committing again.

I'm trying to introduce ReSharper into this client, and this is not making my job any easier.  Is there a way to tell ReSharper to look at files that aren't part of the project / solution?

Other ideas???

Hello Jeremy,

At the moment one cannot point ReSharper to the files that aren't included
in a project anyhow. As a workaround, you can compile those files as a separate
assembly and reference that assemly in your projects. That should stop ReSharper
from reporting the errors. Thank you!

Hello,

Yes, it's a common practice to exclude generated files from the source control.
Currently, they have to be included into the solution for R# to see them.
With most source code control providers this does not cause any trouble because
you can always "ignore" a selected file with the source control client (SVN,
for example, has such an option, as well as GIT, Hg, CVS, Perforce, etc).
Is there some kind of "ignore" functionality in your SCC client?
