sync settings question

I have read and followed this article: http://blogs.jetbrains.com/dotnet/2011/12/resharper61-settings-dropbox-and-company-wide/, trying to setup the the settings/templates sync between home computer and office computer.

However can anyone help explain how settings are synced? after I followed those step, and tried to change some settings in my home computer, I don't see the file saved to dropbox. Questions: 1) when the settings are supposed to be save to the dropbox file? Do I have to save it manually every time changes are made? 2) supposed the file is saved to dropbox, now in my office's resharper, when the settings are loaded? Do I need to close visual studio .net and restart it? or need to manually load the dropbox file to resharper?

Thanks.

Hello
     Regarding your questions:
     1. The settings that you've changed in the Options dialog will be saved into your settings file when you choose Save To | Layer linked to your settings file.
     2. ReSharper will sync all settings whenever Dropbox downloads the new version of settings file to your office's computer. You don't have to restart Visual Studio.

     Thank you!

Thanks Andrey. You mentioned for options changed, need to manually save to that file. how about template? whenver I made a change to a template, do I also need to go to the option dialog and save to that file?

Hello
When working with templates, you should first choose your layer in the 'Layer:' drop-down list in the Templates Explorer window and then make changes to templates. Let me know if this helps. Thank you!
