To-do Explorer: Can I somehow avoid my filter to be hidden when it has no matches?

I have made custom todo-patterns. I usually use 1 consistently during
developing to remember what to do. However when I finish/delete the
last todo item, this filter is hidden and an arbitrary other filter is
selected instead. If I then create a new todo-item I must re-select
the filter to see those to-do items

• I want to be able to see what filters I have available without

having to going to options->to-do items->Patterns  (I could in RS 5,
not in RS 6).

• I always want my selected filter to be displayed, no matter the

number of matching items so I don't miss newly created items for it
(worked in RS 5, not in RS 6).
