The key comination is bound to command which is not currently available

How do I fix this problem?

Yesterday, I bound the Crtl+R, Crtl+N to Refactor.Rename, but find myself unable to use this (nor is the resharper Crtl+R, Crtl+R available for the same command).

I am using Win 7, VS2010 v 10.0.40219.1 sp1Rel, Resharper 7.1.1, full

Hi Mark,

1. Please check the 'Scope' you set for the shortcut in the "Tools | Options | Environment | Keyboard" dialog?
2. Can you use the rename action manually via "ReSHarper | Refactor | Rename" menu?
3. Also, where do you try to apply the rename? Do other ReSharper features are working in this file?
4. What exactly are you trying to rename?

Please let me know.

I found that if you change the 'Build Action' for the file to 'None', some of the ReSharper features stop working, like the Rename. In my case it only disabled the rename for methods. It worked in other areas of the file like parameters and variables. Even the right-click menu didn't show the rename option anymore.

I had to change the file Build Action back to Compile, then close the tab and reopen the file for it to work again.

Hope this helps someone.
