Settings Layers - how to remove Items to Skip in higher layer

In a low (global) Settings Layer, I've defined Code Inspection / Settings / Edit Items to Skip to include some file masks.

Now I go to a higher layer (Solution 'X' personal) and click on Edit Items to Skip. No file masks are shown.

How do I remove one of the file masks at the Solution layer (that is, inspect those files for this Solution only)?

Hello Bill
I'm afraid at the moment you can only define Edit Items to Skip for solution personal layer separately, so that it overrides the option defined in This Computer layer. There's no way to remove only certain items in another layer. Thank you!

Thank you - unfortunately this does not appear to work. I just defined Edit Items to Skip for solution personal layer and entered a file mask of "bob.*" (not matching anything). This did not override my global layer file mask of Test*.cs - tests in the project are still not analyzed. ReSharper appears to create a union of the settings.

I too am having a similar issue where I need to be able to delete settings from a particular layer. (My fellow developers are complaining that my setting in the team-shared solution layer is overriding their "this computer" layer, and we have dozens of separate solutions, so overriding in the personal solution layer for every solution is a huge pain.)

It'd be great if the options dialog showed what layers an option was defined in and let me delete an option from a particular layer.

Thank you!

I would like this feature as well.  Our global project decided to exclude all unit testing from inspection, which is specified in a Common.DotSettings files that all solutions inject to their local solution layer.  But our solution team wishes to override that and fully inspect the unit test code.  So we wish to REMOVE the exclusions of *UnitTest* from the file masks to exclude list.
