ReSharper Plug-ins JIRA project

Hi,

We opened new JIRA project for ReSharper plugin developers. http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/RSPL
Currently, we move there exceptions and requests we receive from users, which
are most likely caused by plugins. Few RGreatEx and mbUnit exceptions are
already there, so you may take a look. Later, we will organize them by categories,
so you can easily track your plugin's problems. We will also include plugin
authors in the plugin-developers group so that you can edit and close requests.
If you are developing plugin and it is publicly available - let me know,
I will set appropriate access rights and add category for your plugin.

Sincerely,
Ilya Ryzhenkov

Hello Alexander,

What do you mean about ReSharper submitting form? If exception occures in
your plugin, and you use Logger.Assert and other methods for asserting and
exception handling, they will end up in our JIRA. Then, we will move it to
plugin's JIRA project, as soon as we process requests (usually, daily). If
you spawn threads, you'd better surround thread function with try/catch and
call Logger.LogException.

Please, send me email with you JIRA username, so I can make you responsible
for RGreatEx plugin.

Sincerely,
Ilya Ryzhenkov

Hi Ilya,

What do you mean about ReSharper submitting form?

I want:
1. Add additional info for unhandled exception.
2. Customise or replace submitting form.

How fast do you move exceptions from ReSharper project to RGreatEx in your
JIRA?
I think you can adding additional property for ProginAttribute or use plugin
name for posting exceptions to the plugin category direct.

Hello Alexander,

There is no direct relationship between exception stacktrace and plugin,
so we cannot determine if exception is caused by plugin or ReSharper core
automatically. This requires manual processing.

As for "how fast", did you read my entire message? :)
