Resharper v9.0 on VS 2012 can't pass proxy authenticate while on VS 2013 authentication succeed

Answered

Hello!

I have Resharper v9.0 installed both on VS 2013 and VS 2012.

I was able to log into my account through proxy in both studios up until latest reboot (it was hard reset because the electricity went down).

For now, I have set up my proxy login information in WebProxy Settings Tab for "This Computer". It works fine for VS2013, but VS2012 now can't authenticate.

What could be a solution for this problem?

Hello Polina

What error message do you get when you try to activate ReSharper using your JB account?

Thanks!

Hello Polina,

Thanks for the screenshots.

Do you use the same ReSharper build in both Visual Studio versions? Since you mentioned ReSharper 9.0 in the first post but I might see R# 2016.2.2 on the screenshot.

Thanks!

Thank you so much that you have spotted versions inconsistency!

The issue was, that I have installed the latest (2016.2.2) version on VS2013 and haven't updated Resharper for VS2012, and I really haven't realized there were different versions.

After version update to 2016.2.2. on VS2012 authentication was flawless.

Thank you once again for your help.
