How can I get rid of this false positive
Resharper is flagging this as an error, but it's not an error. My project builds and runs justs fine. I tried clearing caches and restarting but that didn't help.

What version of ReSharper do you use? Please try our latest release (https://www.jetbrains.com/resharper/download/#section=web-installer) or the latest EAP build (https://www.jetbrains.com/resharper/nextversion/?section=windows).
