Uninstall Completely Follow
I've been using Resharper since it's first release, but I had to uninstall
previous versions. I would like to install the latest version, but I would
like to delete all previous files and settings. I've already uninstalled
Resharper via the Control Panel Add/RemovePrograms, but I still have these
files in my PrivateAssemblies folder:
DupCodeSearch.dll
JetBrains.ReSharper.Util.dll
JetBrainsShared.dll
msatinterop.dll
readme.txt
ReSharper.dll
ReSharper.pdb
Services.dll
Services.pdb
I know not all of these are Resharper's doing, but what are? Do you put
files/settings anywhere else (Common Files, registry, etc.)?
Thanks,
Derek

ReSharper stores your preferences in the file that resides in your Documents
and Settings directory:
"C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\JetBrains\ReSharper\UserSettings.xml" Deleting this file will restore default values for all ReSharper settings. "Derek" ]]> wrote in message

Thanks for the other file info. Do you know if "DupCodeSearch.dll" is part
of ReSharper (it's in my PrivateAssemblies folder).?

Yes, it is (however it's currently not used).
