Is it safe to simply cut/paste /Configuration/CodeStyleSettings between
Even on a 2 developer project with 3-4 workstations keeping the code
formatting the same is painful. This would be an adequate workaround for
I see sharing of code formatting settings as a requirement for initial
release. We've already run into problems diff'ing files... only a few "real"
changes had been made... but the last reformat run had moved braces... that
kind of thing.
Even a simple export CodeFormattingOptions / import CodeFormattingOptions
would be better than cut/paste. A more real solution would be to single
source the CodeFormattingOptions... as in a standalone xml file for
CodeFormattingOptions loaded from a shared location. We don't need
multi-user updates to the file... we can author (or export) the file from
our reference box.
Do you plan on addressing this for initial release?
Do you have an implementation in mind?
