R# color settings don't work

Please check the screen shot.

The strange thing is it works in another PC. Both of PC is Windows XP Pro with VS 2008 & R# #741.

When I tried to export Fonts & Colors settings, only these R#'s items were exported. And only these items work in my VS2008.

I'm actually having a different issue regarding R# colors. For all R#
highlighting, the foreground colors appear correctly, but the background
appears in black when it is configured to display in white (the default).
I've attached a screenshot showing the problem. The issue is easily
corrected by opening and closing the Visual Studio Fonts/Colors options
panel, but it's still rather annoying :).

Cheers,
Mike

Hello t800t8,

have you tried to re-install ReSharper?

Thanks.

Hello t800t8,

what's the difference in VS configurations on a PC where settings work and
were they don't? Does the latter include
any VS extensions compared to the former?

And one more thing: what exactly doesn't work? Do you mean that e.g. namespaces
are not emphasied in the code editor regardless
of the respective entry in Fonts and Colors?

I know this behavior since R# 1.0. I got it in rare cases after installing a new build. Another thing i got sometimes is, that my
color settings where gone and replaced by the default. For this reason i saved the registry key where R# color settings are saved to
a textfile. It is

for Visual Studio 2008. If i get in trouble with syntax highlighting i close VS merge the settings and reopen VS and the problem is
gone.

Klaus

Here are the list of items I copy from Help, About, Copy Info in VS2008. In the VS2008 whose font & color settings don't work, it has a lot of hot fixes, but in the one whose font & color settings work, doesn't has. Please check attached files.

I tried to uninstall ADO.NET Entity Framework and ASP.NET 3.5 Extension CTP but it didn't help.

And not only namespace color setting doesn't work, all xxx identifiers don't work too (constant, method, operator,...). But others (Suggestion, Matched Brace,...) work. I didn't check all of them.

I tried to export Font & Color Settings on both VS2008s, only a few items of R# were exported.

Having same problem on " build 4.0.759.31". Also as seen in rs2 picture if i use a darker background for current line text becomes unreadable/blured. Color settings don't work(events, methods, fields, etc). At show tips some images don't appear and there is an error after "CtrlAltF7" tip.

Looks like you have identifier highlighting switched off
Please check the ReSharper->Options

I have something similar. When I install new version of R# 4 (after uninstalling previous version), the color settings works but with default settings. Some of my tweak don't work until I open VS Fonts/Colors options.

Same problem here, Resharper colors don't work after a version upgrade. They are there in the menu but get ignored in the editor.

[edit] Color Identifiers wasm not checked, everything OK now.
