Whidbey (Not Compatibility, but a general question)

Will having .NET 2005 Beta 1 (Whidbey ) mess up how ReSharper works with
.NET 2003?

Yes, there may be problems. At least, as far as I remember, uninstalling
Whidbey beta caused the same problems as uninstalling old ReSharper EAP
builds (unregistered csproj.dll for VS.NET 2003).

Uninstalling? So if I don't uninstall Whidbey, I won't have any problems?
I'm wanting to do more testing with Whidbey, but I still do Development with
VS2003, and don't want to break ReSharper ...

Hello Derek,

I cannot bet on it, but I think that as long as you don't uninstall Whidbey, ReSharper will work.
Uninstalling Whidbey will definitely break VS.NET 2003 and ReSharper, and you'll have to repair the former
and reinstall the latter.

No, I'm saying that installing Virtual PC is too costly to justify it. I'll
run Whidbey at home, and just keep VS2003 on my Development Box.

Yes. I tested it on my laptop first. Installed VS2003 and ReSharper, then
installed C# 2005 Express.
Things seem to work just fine without any conflict. I was mostly curious as
to whether or not ReSharper would try to load itself into Whidbey and if
that would mess things up. But things seem fine. I'll tell you if anything
happens.

PS. If something does go wrong ,I can still use the steps from the old
problem (with ReSharper) to fix it, I presume (register the GAC)

Hello Derek,

currently ReSharper is tightly bound to VS.NET 2003, and will not manifest itself for loading in Whidbey.
