I don't like ReSharper logo appears on VS splash screen...

The 1st thing I noticed was the logo. Just a small issue, but I just don't
like it.

This is just like the Whole Tomato Visual Assist X, the tomato appears on VS
splash screen is 1 of the reason I uninstalled it...

ReSharper build 165 somehow still the best for now...

What's bad with the ReSharper logo on VS splash screen? What emotions do
you feel when you see it?

I don't personally mind it being there, although it's a little bigger looking
than the VS icons so aesthetically it looks a little awkward. What does seem
worse is that the text above the icon says:

"Installed Products from the Visual Studio Family"

Is ReSharper really in the "Visual Studio Family", or is that term that applies
to Microsoft products only?

Someone uninstalling an incredibly useful product such as ReSharper just
because there is an unwanted icon on some splash screen is IMHO completely
absurd, I can't think of any sane developer who would even consider doing
such a thing. Please don't take this guy too seriously.

Of course I usually leave VS running for days or even weeks on end and hence
virtually never even see the splash screen anyway :)

Nothing bad actually...
I just feel that it looks weird having a logo that stands out and draws
attention because of it has a different "color theme". I'm referring to the
VS 2003 splash screen, it's ok in VS 2005 (small logo)...

It's not a bug or what, just I prefer to have only the language logos (c#,
vb, etc)...
Anyway, thanks god it is not as bad as having a tomato on the splash screen!
;)

You are absolutely right, what you said was what I wanted to say but I just
happened didn't able to describe it correctly.
And as I mentioned, this is just a small issue, I sincere apologize for this
if it offended anyone. And I don't mean ReSharper logo has any problem,
again, I just felt that it is being placed at the wrong screen.

In terms of uninstall ReSharper because of that logo? Seriously, I won't.
I like ReSharper very much, I have been waiting this EAP for long enough and
downloaded 2.0 EAP the first minute I could.
As I like ReSharper so much, that's why I post it here and hope ReSharper
looks better without the logo on splash screen.
Speaking of the tomato, the main reason I uninstalled it was because of
ReSharper is better and I found that I only need ReSharper (though I really
don't like the tomato logo...)

I would agree that the logo is a bit of an attention grabber when it
shouldn't be. Maybe it can be reworked to "fit in" with the other existing
icons, in both size, and colors used, so it doesn't stand out quite so much?
Other than that, no complaints from me.

Hello Paul,

the logo icon, as the build itself, is only a preliminary version of the
final product.
We'll make the icon better fit into the VS splash screen.
