Resharper 2.0 and Proggy font Follow
Resharper 2.0 (or is it VS.NET 2003) seems to do a little worse with the
Proggy truetype font in bold mode than Resharper 1.5 did. It seems to
assume that bold and non-bold characters are identical in side. For
some reason, Proggy's bold characters are a pixel or two wider and mess
up the carat positioning in the editor.

Any way for Resharper to work better with this? I'm not sure where the
problem really is, but it might be a little more off in the newer version.
Matt.

This is known VS2003 problem. We cannot do anything with this :(

Hello Matthew,
did it work right in ReSharper 1.5? The problem with bold characters in certain
fonts are known,
but it is odd that the situation is different for ReSharper 1.5 and ReSharper
2.0.

It seems to work better in ReSharper 1.5. The cursor is mis-positioned
while typing, but it seems to sync up and you pause for a bit (approx 1
second). It seems like this syncing behaviour has disappeared in
Reshaper 2.0. It might have been a happy accident that something
Resharper 1.5 was doing happened to also sync the cursor.
I think I can get around it by not using bold fonts. It's a shame that
VS.NET doesn't position the cursor properly considering that they have
an option available to use bold fonts. :)
Anxiously awaiting Jetbrains' .NET IDE,
Matt.
Hello Matthew,
do I understand correctly that without any ReSharper cursor
is working OK (when Proggy font is enabled)?
If yes, is it always mispositioned when typing with ReSharper turned on?
Thanks.
