I've never used this feature before, so I may be doing it wrong!
I click Resharper -> Live Templates... -> select User Templates -> Click New
Now i get a blank template..
if i enter a shortcut say "inotifyp" and a description.." blah blah"
Should i be able to type something into the large white area, currently there's a single 1 as a line number.
If I put the cursor in this area and type nothing happens! If i hit enter, i get the message: "Attempt to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt"
This is the same problem that many of us have reported on this message board before. I am also still having this problem in build 818. I am using VS 2005. This seems like something that should be fixed before the release...

I don't understand... at the top of the thread it says this has been answered but I do not see any solutions???
I installed the R# 4.0 RC on my machine at work and I have the same problem. I cannot edit my live templates. The edit area is dead. You can paste and if you bugger around enough you get the memory error.
I've been looking for an explanation as to how you create a live template. Something on the lines of a tutorial. Can anyone give me a very simple walkthrough of how you would create one and how you would use it in a code file? I guess that's something I need to play with myself but a guiding hand would help a lot. Maybe there is an online tut somewhere at JB?
Hello Graeme,
What exactly happens? What do you mean that ReSharper doesn't accept your
live template?

Same problem here.
It doesn't accept any editor changes, I mean I cannot type at all and if I click TAB, it gives a memory read error.
Hello Oleg,
Do you have a localized version of Visual Studio?

I restarted VS and it's OK now.
Thankyou, and keep up the good work!

I have the same problem at home.
It is rather frustrating.
Please, please help.
