Could not reformat the document. The original format was restored.

I am getting this message after changing some control attributes at designtime and switching back to html view of an aspx file. I think this is with Resharper 2.0 which i am currently trying out. I tried doing the same thing with Resharper unloaded and i am not getting the said message.

Is this related to an undefined schema to a control that i am using?

And another chiming in. I'm getting the same problem. I can undo the "restoration" of the "original format", but it's rather irritating. The so-called original format is just terrible, with all the quotes on attribute values removed, tons of line feeds added, etc. I installed 2.0 this morning and now can't save my ascx file without getting this message :(

Yes, same problem here with 2.0.1.

Hello Oisin,

could you please specify the steps we need to undertake in order to repeat
this problem? Thanks.

It's somewhat inconsistent, but I have a simple webform here in my project with no external dependencies that I can give you, but I'd rather email it to you directly than post it here; the webform has been emailed to you, zipped.

One thing that is fairly good at eliciting the message is resizing the control horizontall, then hitting ctrls ; every second or third time it pops up that message. If I switch to html view and use the vs ctrlk/ctrld, vs manages to reformat it ok. Switching back to design view and resizing will immediately cause the problem again upon a ctrls (save).
