Auto-Disable Resharper on Debug....PLEASE!

Hi,

When Resharper is enabled when I debug my solution, it makes my debugging experience really painfull. I could take anywhere between 5-10 seconds between every step!!

I wasn't aware that Reshaper was the culprit until I deactivated it a few minutes ago, and man, I was cruising

Please add the option to auto-disactivate Resharper (or at least the resharper engine) when you enter the debug state, and re-activate it when you exit it.

I dont want to be doing it manually via the Tools/Addin option every time.

Thanks.

P.S: I am running a 2.6Ghz Dual core with 2GB of RAM on Vista.

Hello Jobol,

could you please clarify some points:

1) What build of ReSharper you're using?
2) Does debugging experience get better if you uncheck 'Enable Code Analysis'
in ReSharper | Options | Code Inspection | Settings?

Thanks.

You know what I found out?

The slow debugging was due to an failed uninstall of Devexpress's refactor!

The fact is that it was not uninstalled at all!

When I disable Refactor on load via the add-in manager, the debugging became much more responsive. Not as responsive as a plain install of visual studio 2008, but much better than before.

So these 2 products cannot be installed on the same machine at the same time?

I am using 3.0.565.4

Hello Jobol,

No, we know no reasons why ReSharper and DevExpress cannot be installed simultaneously
on the same
machine. Is debugging still slow if you disable ReSharper and enable only
DevExpress?

Thanks.
