Disable extensive Logging (Directory "JetLogs) Follow
I noticed that resharper (R#3.1 on VS2008) does extensive logging in %TEMP%\JetLogs. This directory is currently 100 MB in size. I also noticed (using process monitor), that access to the logs there occurs every 2 seconds or so, and even if R# is disabled (using the Tools -> Add-In Manager dialog from VS).
Is there any way to disable logging? And, why does R# log something if it is supposed to be disabled? Is it not really disabled when I disable the checkbox to the left of the "resharper" line in the Add-In Manager?

Urs

Can I add a vote for this too - I don't mind how much logging JB devs want to run on their machines, but I don't want it happening on mine, thanks.
The diskspace is probably not an issue (though I'm > 100MB too), but constant cache-washing is a pointless drain on the machines resources.

Hi,
My vote too. Logging should be enabled only in debug situations.

I came across this while investigating why the hard drive light keeps flickering on my workstation, and was shocked to find that it was as a result of logging by Resharper. Completely agree with the poster above... Logging to such an extent is a waste of resources, especially on a production release.
BTW, Using Resharper C# Edition 3.1.584.3
Please get this sorted asap
I'm in agreement too. Some option to disable the logging would be great.

One more vote for switching logging off !
I've change the security settings on the JetLogs folder, denying myself everything except "Full Control".
May be a bit too drastic but seems to have no side effects.
adding my vote.
Me too. JetLogs contains 334Mb!
