Google indexing exception reports? Do we need this?

I just got surprised by Goggle today showing me details about my latest automatic exception report for R#. Nothing too bad if it wasn't for details that I would rather not have posted all over the world, like paths of the dev environment for example. Its not new that hackers do company specify attacks through virii and trojans after knowing some details about their target. Large game producers already lost complete sources through such attacks.

This is a really bad breach of client privacy and makes me definitely stop sending exception reports until this is solved.

Well, so far no response at all from JetBrains? Would be nice to at least hear a "who cares" or "we've seen it", or maybe even a "We will think about it"

You can change visibility of your reports. At the top, next to vote/View issue buttons there's a "Visible to" option you can select.
However I think you must manually do this for every issue you report (haven't seen an option to set a certain visibility by default).
HTH.

It serves the purpose but is completely unacceptable for general use. Clients privacy must come in first place and it must come automatically. After all, exception reporting is a convenience feature for JetBrains and NOT for the client.

Agreed. (I have stopped submitting crash reports due to this).

Hello Andreas,

We're sorry for the experience you've had and we're planning to address this
problem as soon as possible. Meanwhile, we recommend carefully checking the
exception technical details before submitting. Thank you!

Thank you very much Andrey. I take this as an official statement from JetBrains on this topic.

Now if you (JetBrains) resolve the performance issues of R# too so I can use again the license I payed for, I'll be perfectly happy.

Regards
Andreas
