R# may cause Visual Studio 2010 to crash ???

A few weeks ago Visual Studio 2010 was installed on my PC at my customer. The customer service installed an old version without SP1 and german locale. Since installing R# i have the problem that Visual Studio crashes each time after i unlock the screensaver. There are some other installations of the same version but without R# which don't. Today i noticed that VS only crashes when i work on VB projects.

My configuration:

- Windows XP SP3
- Visual Studio 2010 Professional Version 10.0.30319.1
     - Tangible T4 Editor with Modeling Tools 1.0
     - Productivity Power Tools 10.0.20626.18
     - VS Commands 3.7.3.13 (deactivated)
     - AnkhSVN 2.3.10509.1073
     - R# 6.1.37.86

Can anyone here confirm that R# causes the trouble?

Klaus

Hello Klaus
Thank you for reporting this problem! I've opened it as a task for our QA team: http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/RSRP-287489 and we'll try reproducing this behavior on our side. Meanwhile, it would be great if you could gather some crash dump using WinDBG.

I'm not so familiar with WinDBG. If you can tell how, i will gather the dumps today.

i can give all-clear for the issue. Customer service has just installed Visual Studio 2010 SP1 and after that the problem is gone.

Happy new Year

Think you have trouble with the forum software. First time i posted the answer there was a network error. After posting it again it occurs twice.

I can give clear-all for that issue. Customer service finally managed it to install Visual Studio 2010 SP1 on my computer and after that the problem has gone.
