Inconclusive: Test wasn't run

When I use the ReSharper unit test runner to run my NUnit tests, all of my tests error with "Inconclusive: Test wasn't run". I saw many other people had this error in the past with ReSharper 7.x and before, and many could resolve the problem by unchecking "Use legacy runner" under ReSharper -> Options... -> Tools -> Unit Testing -> MsTest, but that solution did not work for me (and I'm using NUnit not MsTest).

I'm using:

  • ReSharper 8.0.1
  • Visual Studio 2010 (10.0.30319.1 RTMRel)
  • NUnit 2.6.2
  • nunit.core , nunit.framework, Moq

My tests run fine under the NUnit GUI test runner. But I need to debug my tests, which would be much more practical with the ReSharper test runner integrated in Visual Studio, rather than trying to attach the debugger to the NUnit runner process in time before it passes my breakpoints, or place an artificial delay in the test to give me time to connect the debugger.

Did you ever find a resolution to this?

I'm having the same difficulty. Resharper can run my MSTests in the same solution, but it cannot run my NUnit tests. The Microsoft test runner can run both NUnit and MSTest code, so that's what I'm using now, but I prefer the Resharper test runner.
