Error when trying to Debug: Command "Debug.Start" is not available.

I am running VS2015 RTM and ReSharper v9.2 and whenever I try to debug my current solution, I get the following dialog box:

---------------------------
ReSharper Ultimate – Failed to execute run configuration
---------------------------
Command "Debug.Start" is not available.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

The only way to debug my code is to suspend ReSharper.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling ReSharper and that made no difference.  Any ideas?

I have included additional info below.

Thanks in advance.

Rob

Hello Robert,

Have you run ReSharper in Internal mode before? Seems like ReSharper Solution Builder is trying to run.

Thanks!

I'm not even sure what Internal mode is, so if I activated it, it was by accident.  I'll look into this and see if I can turn that off.

Thanks.

Rob

Hello Robert,

Could you please run Visual Studio with the following parameter: "/ReSharper.Internal", then open ReSharper | Options | Tools | SolBuilderDuo | Select "Visual Studio" in "Build Engine"?

After that, check the issue once again.

Thanks!

Hello,

I'm still having this issue with current version of Reshaper, running on a VS 2015 Update 2 (with all the last update), especially when I try to run a Xamarin app in Debug.

This is blocking to buy licence, cause I would like to present Resharper to my coworker to make our company buy somes.

Any ideas ?

PS : Visual Studio build engine is selected, and we have a lot of .NET Core RC2 projects

Hello Christophe

Please check what configuration is selected here ReSharper | Tools | Run Configuration.

Thanks!

I have the same issue: "Failed to execute run configuration - Command "Debug.Start" is not available".

Tried cleaning the Resharper and VS caches.

The issue appeared out of nothing, tried Resharper 2016.2 and 2016.3 EAP 9, no differences.

As soon as I suspend Resharper, it's working again. Build System is "Visual Studio".

Hello

Please try calling "ReSharper | Tools | Run Configurations" and select "{project name} (VS default)" item there.

Thanks!

Thank you for the fast response.

That fixed the problem!
