Dynamic Program Analysis cannot be turned on. Always grey and inactive

Hi there,

I have a few .NET Framework and .NET Core projects on my VS 2022 Prof. and my Dynamic Program Analysis is always shown as disabled and I do not get any data out during or after test runs. I can turn it on and off (right mouse click) but it does not want to start. The symbol is always grey no matter which options I try. I get the option to turn it on and off but this does nothing.

The Jet Brains ETW Host Service is up and running. I made a reset of my Resharper and VS 2022 settings and I also endured a complete reinstall with reboots for safety measures. Nothing helped 😥.

Is there a performance throttle blocking the usage?
Are there more Options, which needs to be considered?
Maybe a group Policy of the company is blocking things?
Once upon a time (a year ago) with VS2022 Community Edition, it worked flawless.

Some advice would help me a lot because a colleague is using it very nicely and I do not see any obvious reason its still deactivated.
I also got his Resharper Settings but It didn't work out. Maybe its a VS 2022 setting?
Cheers Alex

Hello Alex,

Could you please collect logs for us?

You need to launch Visual Studio with the following parameters:

/ReSharper.LogFile C:\log\resharper_log.txt /ReSharper.LogLevel Trace

Please upload C:\log\resharper_log.txt and all logs in %temp%\JetLogs to our ftp.

Hi Anna,
thanks for the hint. The log shows, that a group policy blocked some JetBrains executables. After changing some policies, everything worked like a charm.
Cheers Alex
