VS 2017: could not update to 2017.3.1

Hello,

using VS 2017 Enterprise (V15.5.2) i could not update from R# 2017.2 to R# 2017.3.1. Neither the full installer nor the webinstaller recognize my VS 2017 installation. It only shows the VS 2010- and VS 2015-installations that are also onto my machine. The R# 2017 product is only installed in VS 2017.

 

Any hints?

Could you please provide screenshot of installer illustrating the issue.

Also please check if there's HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VisualStudio.DTE.15.0 in your registry keys and you have access to it.

Here is an "all-in-one" screenshot. And yes i have access. Even if i start the installer as admin, it doesn't recognize VS 2017.

I've found the root cause. It was a vs installation issue. The Jetbrains-Installer now works.
